What to expect:
What is the service like?
We gather together each week to spend time together, sing praises to God (hymns and praise songs), and be challenged by the preaching of the Word. An offering is taken, although guests do not need to give anything. Regular attenders give to support the local church and its ministries.
What should I wear?
Some wear formal attire, while others prefer casual. You may see a jacket and tie, or blue jeans. We are just glad to welcome you, so feel free to come as you are!
What about my children?
We offer ministries for children age three through high school during Sunday services, along with a nursery for children newborn to age two.
After the singing portion of the worship service each Sunday morning, children ages three through first grade can attend King’s Kids, a children’s service, or they are more than welcome to stay with their parents.
About once a month we do an "all-in" service, where all children (with the exception of nursery-age) remain for the preaching of God's word. On "all-in" Sundays, our pastor preaches a shorter message. It's ok if your kids make noise - ours did, too, when they were young. Honestly, we're just grateful to have children in our church! We desire for our children to know they're a part of the church and what it looks like to participate with their parents and other adults in an entire worship service.

From the North (12B) – Upon entering Sherburne, turn left by Nina’s Italian Grill (Lighthouse building) to turn onto Route 12. The church building is located on the left.
From the North (12) – Upon entering Sherburne, the church building is across the street from the Sherburne-Earlville Central School District Bus Garage on your right.
From the East – Enter Sherburne on Highway 80 and turn right at the intersection with Main Street/Route 12. Remain on Route 12 and veer right by Nina’s Italian Grill (Lighthouse building) to remain on Route 12. The church building is located on the left.
From the West – Enter Sherburne on Highway 80 and turn left at the intersection with Main Street/Route 12. Remain on Route 12 and veer right by Nina’s Italian Grill (Lighthouse building) to remain on Route 12. The church building is located on the left.
From the South – Remain on Route 12 and veer right by Nina’s Italian Grill (Lighthouse building) to remain on Route 12. The church building is located on the left.
What Bible translation is used?
Our pastor typically preaches from the ESV Bible, but you are welcome to bring whatever Bible you are comfortable with.
